Setup in 2 minutes

1

Create a Discord webhook

In Discord: Server Settings → Integrations → Webhooks → New Webhook. Pick the channel (we recommend a dedicated #zikit-alertschannel), give the webhook a name (e.g. “Zikit”), and click Copy Webhook URL. The URL looks likehttps://discord.com/api/webhooks/....

2

Paste the URL into Zikit

In yourdashboard, open any monitor’s Alert preferences, click Add alert → Discord, and paste the webhook URL. Pick an importance threshold (we default to 5 on Business). Save.

3

First embed lands in Discord

The next meaningful change on that monitor posts as a Discord embed with a colored sidebar matching the importance tier. Pin the channel and your team can scroll it like a newsfeed - no middle-of-night DMs.

Requirements

  • Zikit Pro plan or higher ($19/mo) - Discord is not on the free plan
  • A Discord server you can admin (or where an admin will create the webhook for you)
  • Manage Webhooks permission in the target channel

FAQ

Can different monitors go to different Discord channels?

Yes. Create a separate webhook per channel and paste the matching URL per monitor. Common split: #pricing, #compliance, #vendor-status.

Will every cosmetic tweak ping my channel?

No. Changes score 1-10 on business impact; only changes at or above your threshold post. Typos, rotated testimonials, and rearranged sections score low and stay out of the channel.

Is the webhook URL stored safely?

Yes - stored in our database (encrypted at rest) and redacted in our logs. To rotate, delete the webhook in Discord’s Integrations panel and create a new one.

Does this work for private servers?

Yes. Zikit only needs the webhook URL. Your server stays private - we never join it.
