Alternative comparison
A Sken.io alternative -
AI summaries, flat pricing, unlimited pages per site
Sken.io is fine if you like configuring rules and reading raw diffs. Zikit is the opposite shape: AI summary as the default, flat per-site pricing, unlimited pages per site. Different trade-offs - pick what matches your workflow.

What the alert looks like
Zikit
A plain-English paragraph from an LLM: what changed, why it might matter, importance 1-10. Same in every channel.
Sken.io
Text-diff / visual-diff output depending on monitor type. You read the delta yourself and decide what matters.
Noise handling
Zikit
42 built-in regex patterns strip timestamps, cache-busters, live-viewer widgets, UTM params, countdown timers, cookie banners - before comparison.
Sken.io
Per-monitor rule configuration: CSS selectors, keyword filters, or area cropping. Flexibility at the cost of tuning time.
Free plan
Zikit
3 sites with unlimited pages each, daily cloud checks, AI summaries, email alerts. No credit card.
Sken.io
Small free tier / trial, then paid. Typical pay-per-monitor scaling with check frequency.
Pricing model
Zikit
Flat monthly tiers by number of sites. Pro $19/mo (20 sites, unlimited pages). Business $49/mo (100 sites).
Sken.io
Tiered by monitor count + check frequency. More pages on one vendor = more monitors consumed.
Historical depth
Zikit
7 days (free), 90 days (Pro), 1 year (Business).
Sken.io
Retention varies by tier; usually shorter on entry tiers.
When Sken.io is the better pick
Honest answer - sometimes it is. Pick Sken if:
- You prefer raw text / visual diffs and don’t want an LLM interpreting them.
- You’re already set up with keyword rules + selectors and the workflow is working.
- You only watch a handful of individual URLs (per-monitor pricing works out cheaper than Zikit’s per-site tiers for that pattern).
Zikit optimises for AI-summary output + unlimited-pages-per-site pricing. Sken optimises for rule precision + raw-diff workflows.
Frequently asked
Is Sken.io bad?
Not at all. Sken is a perfectly capable monitoring tool for teams that prefer raw diffs and per-monitor rule configuration. Zikit makes a different trade-off: AI summary as the default output, flat per-site pricing, and a real free plan.
How do I migrate my Sken monitors to Zikit?
There's no automated import today. Zikit's bulk-add feature takes a vendor's sitemap URL and proposes monitors for the pages worth watching (pricing, changelog, legal, careers, docs) in one pass. If you have a Sken export, email support@zikit.ai and we'll look at a converter.
Does Zikit support keyword rules?
Yes - you can add keywords that override the importance threshold (a keyword match always fires an alert). But for most vendors the default AI + importance threshold catches meaningful changes without any keyword tuning.
Can I try without signing up?
Yes - the homepage URL demo runs any URL through the pipeline so you can see a real AI summary before creating an account.
Is there a free plan?
Yes - 3 sites with unlimited pages per site, daily cloud checks, AI summaries, email alerts. No credit card. Runs as long as you want.
